Verantel and Lead Docket

Lead Docket is Filevine's legal intake and lead-management software. It captures each lead, runs follow-up, and tracks each lead through to conversion. Verantel is an AI intake interviewer. A prospective client tells their story in a web chat, and Verantel asks one question at a time until it has what your firm needs. The Verantel Lead Docket integration puts each new intake in front of your attorneys in Lead Docket.

How Verantel works with Lead Docket

Verantel runs the interview in place of Lead Docket's own intake forms and scripts. When the interview ends, Verantel writes a record of the matter. Verantel then sends the new lead, with its Verantel record, into Lead Docket. The lead lands in your firm's Lead Docket pipeline.

Your firm connects its Lead Docket account from the Verantel dashboard. After that, each finished interview reaches Lead Docket with no work from your staff.

What your attorneys see in Lead Docket

Your attorneys open Lead Docket and find the new lead with its Verantel record. The record covers:

  • the short summary
  • the deadlines
  • the facts, grouped by topic, each linked to the client's own words
  • each legal matter, with its practice area and state
  • the people and organizations involved
  • how well the matter fits your firm
  • what an attorney would gather next
  • the full transcript

An attorney who doubts a fact follows its link and reads what the client said. Verantel is not a lawyer and gives no legal advice. Your attorneys decide what the facts mean and whether to take the matter.

From there, your team works the lead in Lead Docket as it works any other: tasks, follow-up messages, and payment links until the lead signs. For a firm on Filevine, Lead Docket pulls each newly signed case into Filevine as a new project, with its files and other information.

About Lead Docket

Filevine owns Lead Docket. In April 2020, LawSites reported that Filevine, a case management company, had bought Lead Docket in an all-cash deal. Lead Docket began inside a law firm that wanted better lead-management tools than it could find on the market.

Lead Docket calls itself "The Intelligent Legal Intake Platform" and serves law firms. By its own description, it offers custom intake forms and scripts, workflow automation, lead tracking to conversion, marketing reports by source, and payment links for retainers and fees. Its LeadsAI tools summarize a lead's key facts and help predict a case's chances.

Lead Docket takes leads from many outside services. By its own description, it works with call-tracking numbers, website forms, web chats, and answering services. Its integrations page lists Zapier and Filevine among its partners.

In August 2026, Filevine added three tools to Lead Docket. Lead Docket now reads uploaded PDFs and images so their text is searchable. Its documents tab now has folders, which carry over when a lead moves to Filevine. Ask LOIS puts Filevine's AI assistant inside each lead as a chat panel. It can summarize the lead, suggest the next step, and draft a follow-up.

In October 2026, Filevine launched LOIS Voice Agents in beta. They answer a firm's inbound calls and file each call's recording, transcript, and summary against the right lead in Lead Docket.

Lead Docket publishes no prices. Its pricing page offers a custom quote.

Where the data lives

Verantel keeps each firm's interviews in a database of the firm's own, on Verantel's server or the firm's own. The lead and its record travel to Lead Docket, which keeps them under your firm's account there. Verantel stores nothing on the way.
