Verantel and Clio Grow

Clio Grow is Clio's client intake and legal CRM platform. Verantel is an AI intake interviewer. A prospective client tells their story in a web chat, and Verantel asks one question at a time until it has what your firm needs. The Verantel Clio Grow integration puts each new intake in front of your attorneys in Clio Grow.

How Verantel works with Clio Grow

Verantel runs the interview in place of Clio Grow's online intake forms and its Grow AI agents. When the interview ends, Verantel writes a record of the matter. Verantel then sends the new lead, with its Verantel record, into Clio Grow. The lead lands in the Clio Grow lead inbox and takes its place in your firm's pipeline.

Your firm connects its Clio Grow account from the Verantel dashboard. After that, each finished interview reaches Clio Grow with no work from your staff.

What your attorneys see in Clio Grow

Your attorneys open Clio Grow and find the new lead with its Verantel record. The record covers:

  • the short summary
  • the deadlines
  • the facts, grouped by topic, each linked to the client's own words
  • each legal matter, with its practice area and state
  • the people and organizations involved
  • how well the matter fits your firm
  • what an attorney would gather next
  • the full transcript

An attorney who doubts a fact follows its link and reads what the client said. Verantel is not a lawyer and gives no legal advice. Your attorneys decide what the facts mean and whether to take the matter.

From there, your team works the lead in Clio Grow as it works any other. When your firm is hired, the matter moves into Clio Manage.

About Clio Grow

Clio makes Clio Grow. Clio is a legal technology company headquartered in Burnaby, British Columbia. Clio Grow came from Clio's 2018 purchase of Lexicata, a client intake company.

Clio's developer documentation says outside integrations and web forms can send leads to the Clio Grow lead inbox.

In August 2026, Clio launched Grow AI inside Clio Grow. By Clio's description, Grow AI watches a firm's phone lines, inbox, and website chat, and responds to new messages right away. It captures contact and case details, assesses each lead against the firm's criteria, books consultations, and follows up with leads that stall. LawSites reports that Grow AI costs $25 for each converted lead. Clio charges nothing when the lead does not convert or Grow AI played no part.

At ClioCon in October 2026, Clio announced a redesigned platform. It puts Clio Grow, Clio Manage, and Clio Work in a single interface with one login, and it brings Clio Grow to Clio's mobile app. Rollout begins in November.

Where the data lives

Verantel keeps each firm's interviews in a database of the firm's own, on Verantel's server or the firm's own. The lead and its record travel to Clio Grow, which keeps them under your firm's account there. Verantel stores nothing on the way.
